FaceIT DNA Technology LLC (“FaceIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides facial similarity analysis technology
and related services through its website, mobile applications, and authorized service partners.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, share, store, retain, protect, and delete personal information, including customer-submitted photographs and facial analysis data.
When customers use FaceIT DNA Technology services, we may collect:
Photographs and associated facial analysis data are collected and processed to provide the facial similarity services requested by customers.
FaceIT DNA Technology provides facial similarity analysis using a combination of third-party face detection technology, proprietary machine-learning software, and internal manual review.

The resulting facial similarity report provides an estimated comparison of visible facial characteristics.
Facial similarity analysis does not extract DNA, analyze genetic material, establish paternity, or confirm biological relationships. Results are intended for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for laboratory DNA testing.
Customers voluntarily submit photographs to request facial similarity analysis.
Photographs are used to detect faces, perform facial similarity calculations, generate reports, and provide related customer support and quality assurance.
FaceIT DNA Technology uses Google Cloud Vision AI for face detection. Customer photographs are transmitted to Google’s service for this limited processing purpose.
Customer names, email addresses, and account information are not transmitted to Google Cloud Vision AI as part of these facial detection requests.
Before transmitting photographs for facial analysis, FaceIT DNA Technology informs customers about the use of Google Cloud Vision AI and requests affirmative consent for this processing and sharing.
Customers submitting photographs must confirm that they have the appropriate authority and consent to submit images of all individuals depicted, including parental or legal guardian authorization where applicable.
Customers may withdraw consent for future facial data processing and request deletion of eligible information by contacting us as described in Sections 5 and 9. Withdrawal of consent does not reverse processing already completed.
FaceIT DNA Technology does not sell customer photographs or facial analysis data to advertisers or data brokers.
FaceIT DNA Technology may conduct internal quality assurance and technology validation activities to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of its facial similarity analysis services.
These activities may include reviewing generated reports and evaluating facial similarity results against confirmed DNA testing outcomes where appropriate authorization has been obtained.
Identifiable customer photographs or facial analysis data will not be used for unrelated artificial intelligence development or external model training without appropriate disclosure and authorization.
Google Cloud Vision AI is used for face detection, while FaceIT DNA Technology performs its own facial similarity calculations and internal manual review.
Photograph and Facial Data Storage
Customer photographs and associated facial analysis information may be maintained in multiple authorized storage systems, including:
These systems support facial analysis, report generation, customer service, operational administration, and appropriate recordkeeping.
Access to customer information is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational need.
Photograph Retention
FaceIT DNA Technology may retain customer photographs and related image files for up to one year from the date they are submitted. The one-year period represents a maximum retention period and is not a guarantee that photographs will remain available for the entire period.
FaceIT DNA Technology reserves the right to delete customer photographs, cropped facial images, and related image files at any time before the end of the one-year period when they are no longer reasonably necessary for service delivery, report generation, customer support, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, quality assurance, or other legitimate business purposes.
Customers may also request earlier deletion of eligible photographs and associated facial analysis information as described below.
Photographs are currently managed through administrative procedures, including manual deletion by authorized personnel. Automatic deletion after one year has not yet been implemented.
FaceIT DNA Technology is working toward implementing additional retention and deletion controls.
Customer-Initiated Deletion
Customers may request early deletion of their submitted photographs and associated facial analysis data at any time by contacting:
FaceIT DNA Technology’s service target is to complete verified deletion requests within 48 hours of verification.
Requests are currently handled through an administrative process. Authorized personnel review the request, identify applicable customer records, and coordinate removal of eligible information from systems under FaceIT DNA Technology’s control.
Deletion requests may involve original photographs, cropped images, facial analysis information, and associated report files.
Deletion of information from active systems may not immediately remove copies contained in system backups or records that must be retained for legal or regulatory purposes.
Any retained backup copies remain subject to applicable security controls and backup retention procedures until removed.
Other Records
Certain transaction records, accounting information, customer communications, or legally required documentation may be retained separately where necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Google Cloud Vision AI
FaceIT DNA Technology uses Google Cloud Vision AI, a service provided by Google, to detect faces within customer-submitted photographs.
Customer photographs are transmitted to Google Cloud Vision AI for face detection processing.
According to our current technical configuration, Google Cloud Vision AI receives the submitted photographs but does not receive customer names, email addresses, or account information as part of those requests.
Google Cloud Vision AI is used to locate facial features within submitted images. FaceIT DNA Technology’s internally developed machine-learning software performs subsequent facial similarity calculations.
The final results are reviewed manually by authorized FaceIT DNA Technology personnel.
Google Cloud Vision AI is not used to determine biological relationships, establish paternity, or conduct genetic testing.
According to the information provided by our application developer regarding the current Google Cloud Vision AI configuration, submitted photographs are processed in memory rather than retained as stored image files by Google’s Vision service. Google may retain limited technical request metadata, such as request timing and size, in accordance with its applicable service practices.
Google’s handling of submitted information is governed by its applicable Cloud service terms and data processing arrangements.
Other Technology Providers
FaceIT DNA Technology may use third-party website hosting, cloud infrastructure, Google Drive, payment processing, email, and other technical services to support its operations.
These providers may process or store information necessary to deliver their services, subject to applicable contractual, privacy, and security obligations.
Third-Party Facial Data Protection
FaceIT DNA Technology requires third-party service providers that receive or process facial data on our behalf to provide privacy and security protections equivalent to those described in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable contractual agreements and legal requirements.
These protections are intended to apply to the collection, use, processing, storage, sharing, and safeguarding of customer facial information.
FaceIT DNA Technology does not authorize third-party providers to sell customer facial information to advertisers or data brokers.
Authorized Resellers
Authorized resellers and business partners may facilitate customer orders and photograph submissions through FaceIT DNA Technology’s platforms.
These partners are responsible for obtaining appropriate customer authorization and protecting information submitted through the service.
FaceIT DNA Technology uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect customer photographs, facial analysis information, and other personal data.
These safeguards include access restrictions, appropriate transmission security, and administrative controls over customer information.
Access to customer photographs and associated facial analysis information is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational need.
Although reasonable safeguards are maintained, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
FaceIT DNA Technology may disclose personal information when required by applicable law, valid legal process, court order, or authorized regulatory request.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect the security of our services, investigate misuse, or protect the rights and safety of customers and others, subject to applicable law.

Customers may withdraw consent for future facial analysis processing by contacting us at the email address below. Once a verified withdrawal request has been processed, we will discontinue further facial analysis of the applicable information, subject to legal obligations and processing already completed.
