Gender determination has a fee of $200 in addition to your prenatal test fee. You must notify us at the time of setting up your appointment. Notifying us after this point will have a fee of $300 for determination.
Face IT DNA LLC offers legal or non-legal prenatal paternity testing at our more than 2,300 blood draw collection centers nationwide. We are accredited by the AABB (formerly the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies).
If you or someone you know is pregnant and needs to prove who the father is, we can help. Using the newest technology on the market (SNAP / NIPP), you can get results faster and safer than ever before.
We’ll take 2 values of blood from the mothers’ arm and a mouth swab from the alleged father. This is possible because the child’s DNA can be detected in the mother’s blood while she’s pregnant.
Noninvasive Prenatal testing can be performed at 7 weeks only when enough fetal DNA is present.
The cost of this type of test is $1,695.
There’s also the more traditional way of testing the baby’s DNA before birth. We test amniotic fluids that make up the placenta to determine the identity of the child. These procedures take place at either a hospital or gynecologist’s office and will then be shipped to our laboratory.
The cost of testing a prenatal sample, one mother, and one alleged father is $480, plus any additional doctor’s fees. You can expect to have results five business days after the samples are received in our lab.
What is it?
DNA testing can be conducted while a woman is pregnant by using either a chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniotic fluid sample. These sample types are collected during pregnancy by a qualified medical practitioner. Please contact us so that we can let you know what to ask your personal physician regarding medical guidance.
What is a CVS? $480
A Chorionic Villus Sampling is a procedure where a sample of the placenta of the fetus is taken during early pregnancy by a qualified medical practitioner. Preformed 10 – 12 weeks.
What is amniocentesis? $480
This is a procedure to collect an amniotic fluid sample in early pregnancy by a qualified medical practitioner. Preformed 12 – 24 weeks.
Who will collect a CVS or amniotic fluid sample?
These sample types are collected by a physician. If a decision is made to perform prenatal testing, a collection kit with a chain-of-custody form and shipping instructions will be provided to your physician.
Does the mother have to provide a sample in a prenatal paternity test?
The mother’s sample is required in every prenatal test. The mother’s sample is tested to ensure that the fetal sample is pure and originates from the fetus, and not the mother.
Does a physician need to collect samples from the parents?
The doctor will need collect buccal swab samples from the alleged father and the mother. However, if the physician prefers not to do this collection, Face IT DNA LLC can arrange an appointment for the alleged father and the mother at one of our local collection sites.
Is a doctor’s order required for a prenatal test?
A doctor’s order is not generally required. However, in compliance with New York state law, we require a prescription, court order, or ordering by other authorized persons for all DNA identity and/or relationship tests performed on a New York resident.
